TO THE CONGREGATION OF THE FUTURE

As we celebrated the 150th anniversary, the present congregation paused to consider those who may well be celebrating the 300th anniversary in the year 2148. And these are the replies to the questionnaire.

"Congratulations on still being around! Obviously things have developed differently from what I expected. How are you going to develop again for the next 150 years?"

"Keep on the work of the Lord."

"How nice to know you’re sitting on pews we did - hope the organ’s still playing."

"We did our best."

"Keep faith and hope."

"Try to remember that whatever happens, God loves you and will help you in His own way if you ask Him."

"Be kind and friendly to all, no matter creed, colour or gender."

"Keep going, it’s worth it."

"Despite all the changes around us our Church is still here and ALIVE."

"Will churches still have congregations? (Dwindling)"

"Our prayers are for you."

"Don’t forget the past."

"Love the young people and families, do not brainwash them."

"Be proud to be a Christian."

"Hold fast to that which is good."

"Be positive and trust in God."

"Always read and record history and learn from the past. What happened in the past shapes the future."

"Keep on worshipping - God Himself never changes."

"Carry on the good work."

"Times have changed, hopefully for the better."

"Turn to God because he is our one true salvation."

"You will never regret being a member of the Church."
